On the crests
Every badge on this site is generated in code from a club's registered colours and its three-letter code. No official crest artwork is reproduced anywhere, because those are trademarks and they are not ours to ship. The upside is that every club in the database has artwork, it scales to any size without blurring, and it costs one SVG instead of a folder of PNGs.
On the prediction scoring
Predictions are priced by surprisal rather than a flat 3-and-1. A Dixon–Coles adjusted Poisson model reads every finished result in the database, works out attack and defence strengths, and produces a probability for each scoreline. Your payout scales with how improbable your call was, so backing favourites all season will not win you the league. The full method is written up here.
On the data
Clubs, stadiums, founding years, players, squads and every fixture are real — imported from public archives, not generated. Reviews and ratings belong to seeded demo members. npm run sync refreshes results and pulls in newly scheduled fixtures.
What this is not
Not affiliated with Letterboxd, any club, any league or any competition. Not a betting product — predictions cost nothing, pay nothing, and there is no stake of any kind. Not a live-score service; results arrive when the data is synced.
